Adult Education and Faith Formation

Sunday Morning Sermon Discussions

The Sermon for the 9 am service is preached as part of the post-service coffee hour and social time. The sermon and discussion usually lasts from 10:00-10:45 am on Sunday mornings. The sermon discussion which follows the sermon provides an opportunity for the congregation to reflect and comment on the scripture and sermon in an interactive way. This format often allows everyone to get a clearer understanding and allows members of the community to help each other develop ways to incorporate the lessons into our daily lives.

“Via Media”

Via Media is an 8-week series designed to help people with a variety of faith experiences to explore on our own answers the questions we have about our faith. We begin each session by watching a video in which committed people of faith share their perspectives as Episcopalians. Following the video, we have a small group opportunity to discuss and respond to what we’ve seen and time to reflect on the impact for ourselves in our own faith journey. Each session concludes with a brief worship.
